Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Nutrition While Traveling

I know it can be challenging for those people who travel often for work and have to eat out. But it’s still possible to make good choices. You can refer back to my eating out post for tips. I’m out of town for work for a few days this week and thankfully they serve a continental breakfast at the hotel. I was still able to choose something sensible and stay within the current challenge.
Two tips I can offer when traveling…

1. Check to see if your hotel offers a continental breakfast or have a restaurant that serves breakfast. If they do, ask or check on the menu to see if it meets your nutritional goals.

2. If they don’t have any of the above, check to see if you have a refrigerator and/or microwave and take some things like microwavable oatmeal cups, fruit, yogurt etc… that you can eat in your room.

Coffee Drinkers

If you are a coffee drinker, this information is for you. I stumbled upon some 0 sugar and dairy free coffee creamer that you might want to try. The brand is called Nut Pods. I purchased it from Walmart, but it is also available at Target, Amazon, and Kroger. They have flavors such as cinnamon swirl, toasted marshmallow and french vanilla, just to name a few. I’ve personally had the cinnamon swirl only. You can also choose between oat based or almond-coconut based. Those of us who are on the challenge this is a way to still get your coffee in without the sugar. I have provided the link to the main website. I hope this helps! Happy Eating!
